Braun Series 3-360 Shaver Great Shave for the Price.
I've been using electric shavers for almost 25 years, and this Braun Series 3 - 360 is one of the best that has ever tackled my whiskers each morning. I bought 1 of these shavers at Target for almost $90. Then I bought this one on Amazon for half the price so I would have a spare when the one I currently use dies from extended use.
The unit initially charges quickly, and interim charges take less than an hour, unless the unit is fully discharged. One of the unique charging features of this Braun is the "5-minute charge." If you do happen to wake up and your shaver is completely discharged, a quick 5-minute charge will give the shaver enough power for one shave.
Even though this is a single blade shaver (high-end Braun shavers have 2 blade heads), I continue to experience close, even shaves after more than 9 months. Braun recommends that you replace the blade and foil after 18 months. There is a built-in notification system in the shavers Power-on and Power-level lights.
Shaving with this Braun is extremely comfortable. The foils glides over my skin with no irritation. It efficiently cuts my wishers with no drag. It never feels like it is actually pulling my whiskers out of my skin. I have had some electric shavers that gave me razor like nicks that actually bleed. This Braun is very gentle on my skin.
In reading the other reviews, it is frequently mentioned that some are having problems with the head assembly popping off; I have had this happen on occasion, but it happened when I was really pressing the razor foils hard against my skin and moving it around. I've found that I can prevent that my only applying moderate pressure against my skin. It still shaves my face just as well and the razor head does not pop off.
One last item, Braun's Instructions inform you that running the razor and the blade under water is a convenient method for cleaning your whiskers from the shaver. I have found that this process leaves water in the razor assembly even after it has sat overnight, and it interferes with shaving because of the dampness in the blade. If you want a great method for cleaning out the whiskers, I've got a can of compressed air that I use for this purpose. Works great!

Braun Series 3-360 REVIEWS
Braun Series 3-360 Nice and simple and gets the job done.
I had used a Remington Classic since around 1986. Since they stopped making that, I just wanted a simple shaver that can handle longer stubble without fuss (I often go a few days without shaving). This one fits the bill. Things I like:
1. No fancy "cleaning station" to take up yet more real estate on my bathroom counter - also less bulky for travel, and I can handle cleaning under the tap and with a brush anyway.
2. Hacks through a few days of stubble without any problem - actually a pleasure to use, feels kinda like a cadillac running around your face
3. There is a trimmer in between the two foils, which I believe helps to handle the longer hairs.
4. Also a pop-up trimmer for doing stuff like cleaning up the hairs above the ear area etc. Works very well.
5. Charges up reasonably quickly (a couple of hours).
6. Nice foil guard which also covers the "on" switch for traveling, to make sure it can't switch on in your bag
7. Very simple universal charger which is light and works with 110-240V.
8. The head has independent suspension - each foil moves like on its own springs. Very nice feeling on the face.
9. Good quality German engineering.
All in all I am very happy with this shaver. The first time I used it, it seemed to not give a very close shave, and pulled a couple of hairs - but subsequent shaves have been much better. Maybe the shaver needed a day to run in, or maybe I got used to it... either way, I actually look forward to shaving now.
My only concern is that there is apparently a nickel metal hydride battery inside, rather than lithium, which means it'll probably eventually run out of recharge cycles (like my electric toothbrush, which is a few years old now and doesn't hold a charge very long any more). Also I can't see any instructions for replacing the battery, so I guess once that goes then it's time for a new shaver. But in the meantime I'm sure I'll get a couple of years at least of good, fuss-free shaving.
